Canadian wildfire smoke is not only affecting NYC—many Northeastern states are being struck by poor air quality. Wildfires emit large amounts of CO2 and other pollutants, which can affect the health of our people & our planet. Poor air quality can have negative effects on those exposed, especially people with respiratory sensitivities. The haze also disrupts wildlife & ecosystems.
