Responsibilities included driving execution of large scale, strategic 5-year “Latin America & Mexico Data Center Strategy” initiative, which resulted in numerous service stability, performance, security, continuity of business, control and cost efficiency improvements, and involved the migration, consolidation, and closure of multiple data center and tech room locations across the region, the construction and commissioning of a new, state-of-the-art data center in Mexico, various in-country business and regulatory approvals for cross-border services migrations, the implementation of new operating models and control processes, the definition and execution of personnel location, training and talent development strategies, massive infrastructure refresh, application re-platforming, electrical power and network infrastructure revamping, and the standardization of data center operational processes, functions and practices in line with Citi global standards.
