The Keep Cool Eco Sleeve is a library kid! As we reflect on National Library Week last week, we want to give a shout out to the Allen County Public Library space, The Studio. When we've needed to prototype our eco-friendly design, The Studio was there with the software, tools (like their awesome Glowforge laser cutter), and helpful staff we needed to get the job done. The Audio Reading Service is looking for a few more volunteers! What is the Audio Reading Service? We are a department of the Allen County Public Library, providing audio recordings of over 80 different newspapers, magazines, and other publications for people who have difficulty reading independently. Our listeners may be unable to read due to visual, physical, learning, language, or other conditions or disabilities, so we engage volunteers on a weekly basis to read and record a variety of programs and publications in our studios. Then we broadcast the recordings, keeping our listeners informed and connected to the local community.
